Wax Carving & Casting Class
Total cost $450 + materials as needed
Deposit is $205 paid at checkout. Final amount due the first day of class.
This semester, Emma Olyff will offer a NEW 7-week wax carving & casting class, Tuesday evenings from 6 to 9pm!
The class welcomes all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced wax workers, and covers two casting methods: sand casting, which you can easily replicate at home, and vacuum casting.
Already taking one of our classes? This is a great complement to metal forming and fabrication, letting you dive deeper into wax work.
Bring your own project idea — whatever you want to make, you'll get the guidance to make it happen. And if you want to get experimental, Emma's happy to dig into that with you: pressing in a fingerprint, a leaf, a bit of bark or fabric, and seeing what the wax picks up.
Final pieces will be cast in silver or bronze. The metal is priced at weight in oz. that is slightly above spot.
Gold available to more advanced students.
